An inspection of the system has determined that the s.ystem is failing and in need of repair. Based on the results of that inspection, the system is not approved for the use proposed in your application. Site approval has been granted and the property is approved for the installation of a new system, This approval is site specific and must be installed according to the following specifications and the attached site plan, Soils in the approved area shall not be altered or modified by cutting, filling, or other activities which would impede the successful operation of the septic system. Observe all required setback/separation distances during the installation of the system. Keep this document with your records. Give a copy of this permit to the septic system installer prior to the installation of the system. Any deviation from the approved plan must have prior approval from this office, The following construction specifications shall apply to the installation of the septic system: TYPE OF REPLACEMENT SYSTEM: SEEPAGE TRENCH MINIMUM SEPTIC TANK CAPACITY: 500 GALLONS LINEAL FEET OF DRAINFIELD: 100 TYPE OF DISTRIBUTION: EQUAL DISPOSAL TRENCH DEPTH: 36INCHES. MINIMUM: 20INCHES, MAXIMUM TOTAL DRAIN MEDIA DEPTH: 24INCHES DRAIN MEDIA UNDER PIPE: 18INCHES MINIMUM SOIL BACKFILL: 6INCHES GROUND WATER INTERCEPTOR: N The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and on minimum ten (10) foot centers. THE APPROVED SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic, livestock and farming activities. Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway placement or any similar activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic system approval. The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair system must both be protected. 4, THIS SEPTIC REVIEW WAS COMPLETED BY Z.EWING. THE FAILING SEPTIC SYSTEM IS APPROVED TO BE REPLACED WITH A SEEPAGE TRENCH SYSTEM. INSTALL THE SYSTEM AS PROPOSED AND APPROVED ON THE SITE PLAN DATED 6/1/99. 5. SEEPAGE TRENCH systems are installed with a gravel depth under the drainfield distribution pipe greater than required for a standard system. They are permitted on lots or parcels created prior to January 1. 1974. which are inadequate in size to accommodate a standard system. The above system specifications indicate the required gravel depth of the drainfield.
