Those rules are <br /> set forth in OAR 952-001-0010 through OAR 952-001-0090. THIS PLAN REVIEW WAS COMPLETED BY SF ON 10/22/98. <br />3. Approval of submitted plans is not an approval of omissions <br /> or oversights by this office or of noncompliance with any <br /> applicable regulations of local government. <br />4. THE STRUCTURAL SUPPORTS for decks, balconies, porches or <br /> similar structures shall be pressure-treated wood to protect <br /> against decay. [Sec. 322,1] <br />5. GROUND CLEARANCE. Wood s~ding, sheathing and wall framing <br /> on the exterior of a building having a clearance of less <br /> than 6 inches to the ground shall be pressure treated or <br /> decay resistant heartwood of redwood, black locust, or <br /> cedar, [Sec. 322.1(5)] <br />6. EVERY SLEEPING ROOM shall have at least one openable window <br /> or exterior door approved for emergency egress or rescue. <br /> The window sill height shall not be more than 44 inches <br /> above the floor. The minimum net clear opening is 5.7 square <br /> feet. The minimum net clear opening height shall be 22 <br /> inches. The minimum net clear opening width shall be 20 <br /> inches. Exception: Grade floor windows may have a minimum <br /> net clear opening of 5 square feet, [Sec. 310.2, 210.2.1] <br />7. SMOKE DETECTORS / ALTERATIONS. When alterations, repairs or <br /> additions requiring a permit occur, or when sleeping rooms <br /> are added or created, the entire building shall be provided <br /> with smoke detectors located as required for new dwellings: <br /> the smoke detectors shall be interconnected and hard wired. <br /> EXCEPTION: Detectors shall not be required to be inter- <br /> connected and hard wired where the alterations, repairs, or <br /> additions do not result in the exposure of electrical wiring <br /> by the removal of interior wall and ceiling finishes. <br /> [Sec. 316.i.1] <br />8. SMOKE DETECTORS shall be installed in each sleeping room. <br /> outside of each separate sleeping area in the immediate <br /> vicinity of the bedrooms and on each additional story of the <br /> dw~lling including basements. All detectors located outside <br /> sleeping rooms shall be interconnected such that the <br /> actuation of one alarm will actuate these alarms in the <br /> individual unqt and shall provide an alarm which will be <br /> audible in all sleeping areas. Smoke detectors shall be <br /> 110 volt with batter back-up, [Sec, 316,1] <br /> <br /> <br />
