CAPPING FILL systems are installed in soils where a layer that limits the effective soild depth or a water table is present in the soil profile at a depth shallower than allowed for a standard system. The drainfield is installed a at a very shallow depth and fill is placed over the field to ~rovide the earth cover over the system. CAPPING FILL YSTEMS MAY ONLY BE INSTALLED FROM JUNE 1 AND OCTOBER I or during such times when Building Inspection staff finds soil moisture conditions acceptable. See the attached "CAPPING FILL" information sheet for instructions. Fill material must be evenly graded over the drainfield and crowned at the center to shed rainfall. An EFFLUENT LIFT PUMP WILL BE REQUIRED to install the septic system disposal field in the approved area and at the required depth, Detailed instructions for dosing tank / effluent ~ump installations are available in our office. The electrical wiring to the pump and alarm must be installed in accordance with the appropriate Electrical Code. The elec- trical work must be done under a Marion County Electrical Permit and must be inspected and approved by a Marion County Electrical Inspector. The work must be left uncovered and accessible for inspection.The electrical inspection includes the connections to the pump and alarm in the dosing tank.the wiring in the trench and the connections in the structure, THE ATTACHED SEPTIC TANK ABANDONMENT FORM MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED TO OUR OFFICE. The septic system installer must complete and sign the form and attach a copy of the receipt from the septic tank pumper for pumping the tank, THIS SEPTIC SYSTEM MUST BE INSTALLED DURING THE DRY SUMMER SEASON ONLY. The site is marginally acceptable for the system described above due bo the marginal soil and/or groundwater conditions which exist on the property. Construction during the wet winter season may seriously compromise the quality of the system, Make sure that soil moisture conditions are acceptable before installing the system.
