This is a plan review covering the alterations to the above <br /> existing building, This review is based on the regulations <br /> of the Oregon State Structural Specialty Code ('94 UBC) <br /> 1996 Edition, <br /> This is a TENANT IMPROVEMENT for the construction of a <br /> 6 foot by 8 foot restroom only for HANGAR #19. <br />5. TOIleT ROOM FLOORS. (OSSC Sec 807,1.1) <br /> Toilet room floors shall have a smooth, hard nonabsorbent <br /> surface such as portland cement, concrete, ceramic tile or <br /> other approved material which extends upward onto the walls <br /> 5 inches. <br />6. TOILET ROOM WALLS. (OSSC Sec 807.1.2) <br /> Walls within 2 feet of the front and sides of urinals and <br /> water closets shall have a smooth~ hard nonabsorbent surface <br /> of portland cement, concrete, ceramic tile or other approved <br /> smooth, hard nonabsorbent surface to a height of 4 feet and <br /> except for structural elements, the materials used in such <br /> walls shall be of a type which is not adversely affected by <br /> moisture. See Section 2512 for other limitations. <br /> EXCEPTION #2. Toilet rooms which are not accessible to the <br /> public and which have not more than one water <br /> closet. <br />7. TOILET ROOM VENTILATION, (OSSC Sec 1202.2.5) <br /> Rooms containing a water closet shall be provided with a <br /> fully openable exterior window with an area not less than 2 <br /> square feet in area: or a vertical duct not less than 100 <br /> square inches in area for the first water closet, with an <br /> additional 50 square inches of area for each additional <br /> water closet, or a mechanically operated exhaust system <br /> capable of exhausting 50 cubic feet of air per minute for <br /> each water closet installed in the toilet room. <br />8. TOILET ROOM VENTILATION, cont'd. <br /> Such mechanically operated exhaust systems shall be <br /> connected directly to the outside, and the point of <br /> discharge shall be at least 2 feet from any opening which <br /> allows air entry into occupied portions of the building. <br /> <br /> <br />
