GURADRAILS ON STAIRS. (OSSC Sec lO06,10 & 509) <br /> The top of guradrails shall not be less than 34 inches or <br /> more than 38 inches, exclusive of their landings. <br /> Open guradrails shall have intermediate rails or ornamental <br /> pattern such that a sphere 4 inches in diameter cannot pass <br /> through. <br />lO, INTERIOR STAIRWAYS. (OSSC Sec 1006.11) <br /> Enclosed usable space under stairs shall be protected on the <br /> enclosed side as required for one-hour fire-resistive <br /> construction. <br />il, HEADROOM, (OSSC Sec 1006,15) <br /> Every stairway shall have a headroom clearance of not less <br /> than 6 feet 8 inches. <br /> Such clearances shall be measured vertically from a plane <br /> parallel and tangent to the stairway tread nosings to the <br /> soffit above at all points, <br />12.
