Approval of submitted plans is not an approval of omissions <br /> or oversights by this office or of noncompliance with any <br /> applicable regulations of local government. <br />4, LOT DRAINAGE. Lots shall be provided with adequate drainage <br /> and shall be graded so as to drain surface water away from <br /> foundation walls. The grade away from foundation walls shall <br /> fall a minimum of 6 inches within the first 10 feet. Where <br /> lot lines, walls or other physical barriers prohibit <br /> 6 inches of fall within 10 feet. drains or other approved <br /> means shall be provided to ensure positive drainage. <br /> [Sec, 401.3] <br />5, GROUNDING ELECTRODES, When concrete reinforcing bars are <br /> installed in concrete footings, the following requirements <br /> shall be met to provide for a grounding electrode system: <br /> 1. Uncoated No, 4 reinforcing bar installed not less <br /> 20 feet in length encased with a minimum of 2 inches of <br /> concrete. <br /> 2, An uncoated No. 4 reinforcing bar stubbed up at least 12 <br /> inches above the floor plate line and tightly attached to <br /> the reinforcing bar located in the footing, The spliced <br /> lap the stubbed up bar to the footing shall be a minimum <br /> lap of 12 inches, (See Section 4108,1,2) [Sec, 402.4] <br />6, CONCRETE COVER, The following minimum concrete cover shall <br /> be provided for reinforcement: <br /> A. Concrete cast against and permanently exposed to earth <br /> equals 3 inches. <br /> B. Concrete exposed to earth or weather: <br /> No. 6 through 18 bar = 2 inches <br /> No. 5 bar, W21 or D31 wire and smaller = i 1/2 inches. <br /> C. Concrete not exposed to weather or in contact with <br /> ground: Slabs. walls, joists, No. 11 bar and smaller = <br /> 3/4 inches. <br />7, ANCHOR BOLTS. Foundation plates shall be bolted to the <br /> foundation with a minimum 1/2 inch diameter by 10 inch <br /> anchor bolts embedded at least 7 inches into concrete or <br /> reinforced masonry and spaced not mere than 6 feet apart <br /> with a minimum of 2 bolts per piece with one bolt within <br /> 12 inches of the end of each piece, [Fig, 403,1a] <br />8. BP, ABP, This structure uses a combination of Brace Wall <br /> Panels (BP) and Alternate Braced Wall Panels (ABP) to meet <br /> the code requirements for lateral wall bracing, Insure that <br /> all BP's are located as indicated on the plans. <br /> 9. llRUSS DESIGN, Roof trusses are required to be be designed by <br /> an Oregon registered Engineer or Architect. For trusses <br /> manufactured by an approved fabrication plant, have the <br /> design and layout drawings available at the construction <br /> site for the framing inspection. All jobsite cutting or <br /> modifications of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in <br /> the engineer's design calculations and drawings. <br />10. A~IC ACCESS, A readily accessible attic access shall be <br /> ~rovided to any attic area having a clear height of over <br /> 0 inches, A framed opening not less than 22 inches by <br /> 30 inches is required.
