BP, ABP, This structure uses a combination of Brace Wall Panels (BP) and Alternate Braced Wall Panels (ABP) to meet the code requirements for lateral wall bracing. Insure that all BP's are located as indicated on the plans, 5, TRUSS DESIGN. Roof trusses are required to be be designed by an Oregon registered Engineer or Architect, For trusses manufactured by an approved fabrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the construction site for the framing inspection, All jobsite cutting or modifications of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the engineer's design calculations and drawings. 6, EVERY SLEEPING ROOM shall have at least one openable window or exterior door approved for emergency egress or rescue, The window sill height shall not be more than 44 inches above the floor. The minimum net clear opening is 5.7 square feet. The minimum net clear opening height shall be 22 inches. The minimum net clear opening width shall be 20 inches. Exception: Grade floor windows may have a minimum net clear opening of 5 square feet, [Sec, 310,2, 210.2.1] 7, SMOKE DETECTORS / ALTERATIONS, When alterations, repairs or additions requiring a permit occur, or when sleeping rooms are added or created, the entire building shall be provided with smoke detectors located as required for new dwellings; the smoke detectors shall be interconnected and hard wired. EXCEPTION: Detectors shall not be required to be inter- connected and hard wired where the alterations~ repairs, or additions do not result in the exposure of electrical wiring by the removal of interior wall and ceiling finishes. SMOKE DETECTORS shall be installed in each sleeping room, outside of each separate sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms and on each additional story of the dwelling including basements, All detectors located outside sleeping rooms shall be interconnected such that the actuation of one alarm will actuate these alarms in the individual unit and shall provide an alarm which will be audible in all sleeping areas. Smoke detectors shall be 110 volt with batter back-up. [Sec. 316.1] SMOKE DETECTOR / POWER. In new construction, the required smoke detectors shall receive their primary power from the building wiring when such wiring is served from a commercial source, and when primary power is interrupted, shall receive power from a battery, Wiring shall be permanent and not switched, Smoke detectors shall be permitted to be battery operated when installed in existing buildings without commercial power or in buildings which undergo alterations. repairs or additions regulated by Section 216.11 [Sec, 216.2]
