This plan review covers the addition <br />to and/or alteration of an existing structure. This <br />review is not intended to prohibit the building inspector <br />from requesting an evaluation of the acceptability of <br />existing structural members that may appear to be unsafe. <br />Existing construction not specifically detailed in the <br />submitted plans and structural calculations is beyond the <br />scope of this review. <br /> <br />2. DESIGNER RESPONSIBILITY. The plans submitted do not <br />clearly show all the required framing details. It is the <br />designer's responsibility to size all structural members <br />and fasteners for the appropriate loads and have them <br />shown on the plans. [Sec. 112.1] <br /> <br />3. WORK DESCRIPTION: This permit is for the demolition <br />of one half of a manufactured home down to the existing <br />floor framing and steel I-beam chassis. The applicant is <br />proposing to re-construct all new walls (both interior <br />and exterior) on the remaining floor of the manufactured <br />home, add an additional 569 square feet of site-built <br />addition on two different sides of the manufactured home <br />and frame a new roof over both. <br /> <br />4. APPLICABLE CODES: The manufactured home is an <br />engineered structure built in compliance with the federal <br />Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards 24 <br />CFR 3280 and the approved DAPIA plans of the <br />manufacturer. All modifications and changes to the <br />construction of the manufactured home are regulated by <br />the 1997 Oregon Manufactured Dwelling Standards as <br />authorized by Oregon Revised Statutes 446.155, 446.185, <br />446.200, 446.230, 446.240 and 446.400.
