BP, ABP, PF, This structure uses a combination of Brace <br /> Wall Panels (BP). Alternate Braced Wall Panels (ABP), and a <br /> Portal Frame to meet the code requirements for lateral wall <br /> bracing, Insure that all BP;s and ABP's and Portal Frames <br /> are located as indicated on the plans and constructed as <br /> shown. <br /> 5, STANDARD TRUSSESS All job site cutting or modification of <br /> the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the engineer's <br /> design calculations and drawings. Check for lateral bracing <br /> on truss T-3 and uplift restraints on trusses S-4A as <br /> required by truss engineering design. <br /> 6, LANDINGS. A minimum 2 foot x 3 foot landing shall be <br /> required on each side of an egress door. The floor or <br /> landing shall not be more than I and 1/2 inches lower than <br /> the top of the threshold. Exceptions: (1) At the top of a <br /> flight of stairs, provided the door does not swing over the <br /> stairs. (2) The landing at the exterior doorway shall not <br /> be more than 8 1/4 inches below the top of the threshold. <br /> [Sec, 312.1] <br />7, SMOKE DETECTOR / POWER. In new construction, the required <br /> smoke detectors shall receive their primary power from the <br /> building wiring when such wiring is served from a commercial <br /> source, and when primary power is interrupted, shall receive <br /> power from a battery. Wiring shall be permanent and not <br /> switched. Smoke detectors shall be permitted to be battery <br /> operated when installed in existing buildings without <br /> commercial power or in buildings which undergo alterations. <br /> repairs or additions regulated by Section 316.11 <br /> [Sec. 316.2] <br />8. INSTALLATION OF HEATING and cooling appliances shall conform <br /> to the conditions of their listing and label and the manu- <br /> facturer's installation instructions, The manufacturer's <br /> operating instructions shall remain attached to the <br /> appliance. Have the installation instructions available for <br /> the Building Inspector at the time of inspection. <br /> [Section 1305.1] <br />9. APPLIANCES THAT GENEP~qTE a glow, spark or flame capable of <br /> igniting gasoline vapors and located in a garage shall be <br /> installed with burners, burner ignition devices or heating <br /> elements and switches at least 18 inches above the floor <br /> level [Sec. 1307.3] <br />10. COMBUSTION AIR. Fuel burning equipment shall be provided <br /> with a sufficient supply of air for fuel combustion, draft <br /> hood dilution and ventilation of the space in which the <br /> equipment is installed.
