BP, ABP, PF, This structure uses a combination of Brace Wall Panels (BP). Alternate Braced Wall Panels (ABP), and a Portal Frame to meet the code requirements for lateral wall bracing, Insure that all BP;s and ABP's and Portal Frames are located as indicated on the plans and constructed as shown. 5, STANDARD TRUSSESS All job site cutting or modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the engineer's design calculations and drawings. Check for lateral bracing on truss T-3 and uplift restraints on trusses S-4A as required by truss engineering design. 6, LANDINGS. A minimum 2 foot x 3 foot landing shall be required on each side of an egress door. The floor or landing shall not be more than I and 1/2 inches lower than the top of the threshold. Exceptions: (1) At the top of a flight of stairs, provided the door does not swing over the stairs. (2) The landing at the exterior doorway shall not be more than 8 1/4 inches below the top of the threshold. [Sec, 312.1] 7, SMOKE DETECTOR / POWER. In new construction, the required smoke detectors shall receive their primary power from the building wiring when such wiring is served from a commercial source, and when primary power is interrupted, shall receive power from a battery. Wiring shall be permanent and not switched. Smoke detectors shall be permitted to be battery operated when installed in existing buildings without commercial power or in buildings which undergo alterations. repairs or additions regulated by Section 316.11 [Sec. 316.2] 8. INSTALLATION OF HEATING and cooling appliances shall conform to the conditions of their listing and label and the manu- facturer's installation instructions, The manufacturer's operating instructions shall remain attached to the appliance. Have the installation instructions available for the Building Inspector at the time of inspection. [Section 1305.1] 9. APPLIANCES THAT GENEP~qTE a glow, spark or flame capable of igniting gasoline vapors and located in a garage shall be installed with burners, burner ignition devices or heating elements and switches at least 18 inches above the floor level [Sec. 1307.3] 10. COMBUSTION AIR. Fuel burning equipment shall be provided with a sufficient supply of air for fuel combustion, draft hood dilution and ventilation of the space in which the equipment is installed. Plans do not show how combustion air is going to be provided.
