TRUSS DESIGN, Roof trusses are required to be be designed by <br /> an Oregon registered Engineer or Architect. For trusses <br /> manufactured by an approved fabrication plant, have the <br /> design and layout drawings available at the construction <br /> site for the framing inspection. All jobsite cutting or <br /> modifications of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in <br /> the engineer's design calculations and drawings. <br />6. SAFETY GLAZING / AT DOOR. The following shall be considered <br /> specific hazardous locations for the purposes of glazing: <br /> Glazing, in an individual fixed or operable panel <br /> adjacent to a door where the nearest vertical edge is <br /> within a 24 inch arc of the door in a closed position <br /> and whose bottom edge is less than 60 inches above <br /> the floor or walking surface, Exception: Safety <br /> glazing is not required when there is an intervening <br /> wall or other permanent barrier between the door and <br /> the glazing. <br />7. SMOKE DETECTORS / ALTERATIONS. When alterations, repairs or <br /> additions requiring a permit occur, or when sleeping rooms <br /> are added or created, the entire building shall be provided <br /> with smoke detectors located as required for new dwellings; <br /> the smoke detectors shall be interconnected and hard wi red. <br /> EXCEPTION: Detectors shall not be reguired to be inter- <br /> connected and hard wired where the alterations, repairs, or <br /> additions do not result in the exposure of electrical wiring <br /> by the removal of interior wall and ceiling finishes, <br /> [Sec. 316.1,1] <br />8.
