You may leave a message for the inspector if desired.
Be sure the System Record form w~th the As-Built drawing is
on the job or in our office when the inspection is requested
An ~nspection should be completed within seven (7) days,
CAPPING FILL systems are installed in soils where a layer
that limits the effective soild depth or a water table is
present in the soil profile at a depth shallower than
allowed for a standard system, The drainfield is installed a
at a very shallow depth and fill is placed over the field to
provide the earth cover over the system, CAPPING FILL
SYSTEMS MAY ONLY BE INSTALLED FROM JUNE 1 AND OCTOBER I or
during such times when Building Inspection staff finds soil
moisture conditions acceptable. See the attached "CAPPING
FILL information sheet for ~nstructions. Fill material must
be evenly graded over the drainfield and crowned at the
center to shed rainfall,
TILE DEWATERING systems are installed in areas where a
temporary or permanent groundwater table is present
shallower than allowed for a standard system. The site must
have a natural outlet that will allow a field tile installed
around the drainfield to daylight at a point above the
annual high water, These systems are only allowed on sites
where the slope does not exceed 2~. See the attached "Tile
Dewatering" instructions for further information, See the
system design package by Environmental Management Systems
dated April 28, 1998.
