Our purpose was to
assist you in designing foundations, slabs, pavements, and in preparing plans and specifications for the
construction of a new building. Results of our evaluation are summarized below.

Subsurface Exploration Results

We drilled one Standard Penetration Test (SPT) boring (B-1) in the proposed construction area. Based
on the soil profile encountered in this boring and the site topography, we believe the site is underlain
by following specific soil units.

Fill Soils - Generally medium stiff gravelly sandy silty (ML) fill soils extending to depths of up to 11.5
feet are present at the site. Fill soils depth increase from roughly 2 feet near the northern site boundary
to 11.5 feet near the southern edge of building pad. Considering medium stiff soil consistencies or
compacmess of fill, we believe, fill soil stratum was in-plaee at the site for several years, and thus,
have already settled considerably under its own weight.

Native Soils - Fill soils are underlain by native medium stiff mixtures of sand, silt, and weathered
pebble size rock fragments (SM/ML) extending to the maximum explored depth of 41.5 feet. These
soils may represent historic/volcanic ash flow and air-fall tuff deposits and/or landslid mass.
