FREILINGER ON 2/27/~6. <br /> 2. Approval of submitted plans is not an approval of omissions <br /> or oversights by this office or of nonco~pliance with any <br /> applicable regulations of local government. <br /> 3. A roadside marker shall be placed at the access point with <br /> address numbers in a contrasting and highly visible color, <br /> not less than three (3) inches in height. <br /> 4. Work May proceed only at the direction of the inspector. Stairways shall not be less than 3 feet in clear width and <br /> the headroom shall not be less than ~ feet 8 inches. The <br /> minimum required stair tread width ~s ? inches. The <br /> MaXimUM stair rise is 8 1/4 inches. When risers are <br /> closed, all treads mpy have a uniform projection not to <br /> exceed 1 and 1/2 inches. The greatest riser height shall <br /> not exceed the smallest by More than 3/8 inch. (R-213.1) <br /> 9. Handrails Meeting the following requirements shall b~ · <br /> provided on at least one side of stairways. The hanogrip <br /> .portion of handrails shall be not More than 2 5/8 inches in <br /> cross-sectional dimension, or the shape shall provide an <br /> equivalent gripping surface. Handrails shall be Mounted <br /> between a Minimum of 30 inches and a Maximum of 38 inches. <br /> They shall be continuous the full length of the stairs. <br /> Ends shall be returned or shall terminate in newel posts or <br /> safety terminals. <br /> (R-214.1) <br /> 10. Porches, balconies or raised floor surfaces located More <br /> than 38 in. above the floor or ~rade shall have quardrail <br /> not less than 36 inches in heig§t.
