The following construction specifications shall apply to the installa- tion O~ your septic syste~. 1_ The septic tank shall ha~ a m~niYm~m liquid ~apacity of ~000 gallons. ~. A min~ of 450 lineal feet of disp0~al field will be required for your proposed develop- ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and on minim~ ten {10) ~oot Centers and w~th ~O line exceedin~ 125 feet in l~n~th. The tre~ch~e and perforated pipe are installed level (~1") and contoured to follow the nat~r&l ground surface. 3. The disposal field shall be COnStructed with serial di 'etlon with a minimum trench depth of ~ and a maximum trench depth O~ ~4 ±nch~g.. There must be at least 1.2inches of backfill over the to9 of the gravel, measured ~O~ the natural ground surface. A ~roundwacer interceptor is required as part of this syste~. This interceptor trench m~st be constructed a minimum twelve (~} inches wide by 4~ inches deep with 42 i~ches of clean gravel placed over a four (4) inch smooth wall p~rforated pipe. The interceptor must be located at least ten (10) feet uDslope from the disposal ~ield and ~st discharge through a watertight, non- perforated pipe beside or below the disposal field. A separation of 25 fee~ is required from the ~eptic ta~k if the tank is located upslope Of the groundwa- ter interceptor. This approval is site ~peclfic to the area tested ~nd the septic System must b~ located i~ the immed%ate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho- rized by ~his office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is proposed for a different area on the ~roperty. The original, standard drainfietd m~st he construe=ed within ~he immediate area of ~he northeasterly test pit. A pre-constTuction field stakeout will be necessary to establish the elevations a~d locations of the individual dralnfield lines and the location o£ the curtain ~rain. Refer to the s~akeout procedure a~%d the setback lis= for details to complete the stakeout. A list of installers who c~ assist with the stakeout is included for your convenience. The sand filter drainfiald site is just above the ~tandard dralnfield. It too, ~eeds tke protection of an upalope curtain drain. We~l construction mus~ be deferred, pending review and approval Of the pre-construction field s~akao~t, soil con- ditions are marginal for standard syste~ consideration. Use care not to altar the natural t0Dsoil prior to dralnfield construction. Drai~field installation should be limited to the ~ry soil, summer ~ason.
