STEWART HOM~$
6~9 GARLAND ~OURT NORTH
KEIZ~R, OREGON 97303

FILE

SUBJECT

SITE #94-62~, T:SS, R:2W, S:26
SITE ADDRESS= 7450 75TH P~C~ SE. AUMSVILLE, OR 9?325

An evaluation has been made of the above described property proposed for
installation of an on-site sewage disposal syst~. As a result of that
investigation, it has been determined that the site specified On your applica-
tion does not qualify for a standard septic system o~ any of the alternative
systems. The conditions on the site do not meet the minimum requirements of
the Department Of Envirorn~ental Quality On-Site Sewage Disposal Rules. These
rules are specified in Oregon Administrative Rules, Chapter 340, DlvAsion
Sections 100 through 600. Consequently~ this site must be denied,

The principal reasons for denial of this site are related to shallow water
tables and limited, area. The following paragraphs outline the specific reasons
for this denial.

WATER TABLES:
1. A water table, aa indicated by conditions associated with satura-
tion, was observed on the property as
a, Evidence of a permanent watp~ table was obaerved at ,14.,~o
inches below the ground Surface. These measurements were to
the depth of the soil mottling or to the actual depth Of an
observed water table,
2. The above conditions do not mee~ the minimum D.E.Q. rules pertain-
ing to standard and alternative sewage systems. The minimum
requirements are listed below;
a. A permanent ~roundwater ~able Cannot be less than 66 inq~s
below the ground surfas~ fo~ inBtallation of a standard
septic system or ~0 ineh~ for i~stallation of any of the
alternative systems.

It should b~ noted that this study was done only in the area proposed on your
appliuation for e~-site seWage disposal. Within the boundaries of your proper-
ty~ it is possible that sell renditions in a different area of the property
may be di~ferent tha~ those examined in the existing test pits. ~f you feel
that ~etter soil conditions may exist in anther area of the property,
additional test pits will be inspected with no additional charge. Frepare and
submit a new site plan showing ~he new a~ea pTcpesed for evaluation, Notify
this office of your request in writing and within ninety (90) d~ys of the
initial site evaluation.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
There might be some 9ossibility to re-consider the a~ea of ~he most
easterly tes~ pit for an alte~na~iv~ sand filter systt~a plus a full capping
fill. Th8 single tuft pit does not confirm whether there is enough area for
considering the alternative systema. Additional test pits will be necessary
for farther evaluation.
