Marion County

OREGON
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DEPARTMENT

MarCh 9, 1992

Mr. Steven Landburg
10577 Matthieu Lane NE
Aurora, Oregon 97002

Subject: Existing Septic System Evaluation
10577 Matthieu Lane NE

Dear Mr. Landburg:

An evaluation of your property was conducted on March 3,
1992 to determine the condition of the existing on-site
seWage system located on your property. At the time of
inspection, the disposal field was found to be saturated
and in apparent failure. It appears that, during the wet
winter months, the ~ystem actively fails to the ground
surface. It was noted during the inspection that the rain
gutter downspouts discharge into the ground in close
proximity to the disposal field. This may account for
some of the excess water in the field. So~ exploration
work should be done to locate the exact discharge point
of the downspouts and determine if this is affecting the
sewage system. If the downspouts are rerouted and the
problem continues, the septic system will require repair.
A repair permit is required for %he septic system prior
to any construction.

Please call our office
hours are 8:00 to 4:30,

iSin~er~ly, /'h /

ROBERT FOSTER
REGISTERED SANITARIAN

if you have any questions.
Monday through Friday.

Our

DONALD WOODLEY
BUILDING OFFICIAL
