As a result of that investigation, it has been determined that the site specifi~d on your applica- tion does not qualify for a standard septic system or any of the alternative systems. The denial. ~easone for denial of this site are related tO parcel 9ize and following paragraph~ outline the s~)e~ific ceasons for this PARCEL SIZ~ AND SETBACK$~ 1. Ther~ is insufficient area on the property for installation of an approved on-site septic system which will meet the setbacks as required in =he D.~.Q. rules. The setbacks which are of particular concern are circled on the attached sheet. Each lot or parcel m~st have Sufficient usable ar~a available to accommodate an initial and replacement septic system. Withi~ th~ boundaries of your proper- ty, it is possible that soil conditions in a different a~ea of the property may be different than those examined in the exlsti~g test pi~s. If you feel that better soil conditions may exist in another area of the prope~ty~ additional test pits will be in~sted with ~e additlo~al charge. Prepare and submit a new site plan showing the new area proposed rom evaluation. Notify this office of your request in writing and within ninety (90) days of the initial site evaluation. ADDITIONAL COM2~ENTS: Space mus= be available to conetr~ct an original plus a complete ~eplacement drainfield which meets the minimum separation distsncee outlined by the enclosed setback li~t. The minimum amount ~£ drainfield for the proposed three bedroom residence using al~ernativ~ s~epage trenches is 150 lineal feet for each ~rainfield. An alternativ~ sand filter system needs 145 lineal fe~t of drainfield for each field- A two bedroom unit needs 100 lineal feet for ~ach seepage trench system drainfield and 90 lineal feet for each sand filter system dcainfield. The existing septic tank must be pumped and properly abandoned.
