As a result of that <br />investigation, it has been determined that the site specifi~d on your applica- <br />tion does not qualify for a standard septic system or any of the alternative <br />systems. The conditions OS the site do not meet the minimum req~irementS of <br />the Department of Environmental Quality ~-Site sewage Dis~sal RuleS. The~e <br />~ules are ~cified in oregon ~inistrative Rul~s~ Chapter 3~0, Division 71, <br />SerVices 100 through 600, Conse~ently~ ~his ~i~ must be deniG~, <br /> <br />The principal <br />setbacks. The <br />denial. <br /> <br />~easone for denial of this site are related tO parcel 9ize and <br />following paragraph~ outline the s~)e~ific ceasons for this <br /> <br />PARCEL SIZ~ AND SETBACK$~ <br /> 1. Ther~ is insufficient area on the property for installation of an <br /> approved on-site septic system which will meet the setbacks as <br /> required in =he D.~.Q. rules. The setbacks which are of particular <br /> concern are circled on the attached sheet. Each lot or parcel m~st <br /> have Sufficient usable ar~a available to accommodate an initial <br /> and replacement septic system. <br /> <br />It should be noted tha~ thie study was does only in the area proposed on yoU~ <br />application for on-sAte sewage dls~eSal. Withi~ th~ boundaries of your proper- <br />ty, it is possible that soil conditions in a different a~ea of the property <br />may be different than those examined in the exlsti~g test pi~s. If you feel <br />that better soil conditions may exist in another area of the prope~ty~ <br />additional test pits will be in~sted with ~e additlo~al charge. Prepare and <br />submit a new site plan showing the new area proposed rom evaluation. Notify <br />this office of your request in writing and within ninety (90) days of the <br />initial site evaluation. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL COM2~ENTS: <br /> Space mus= be available to conetr~ct an original plus a complete <br />~eplacement drainfield which meets the minimum separation distsncee outlined <br />by the enclosed setback li~t. The minimum amount ~£ drainfield for the <br />proposed three bedroom residence using al~ernativ~ s~epage trenches is 150 <br />lineal feet for each ~rainfield. An alternativ~ sand filter system needs 145 <br />lineal fe~t of drainfield for each field- A two bedroom unit needs 100 lineal <br />feet for ~ach seepage trench system drainfield and 90 lineal feet for each <br />sand filter system dcainfield. The existing septic tank must be pumped and <br />properly abandoned. <br /> <br /> <br />
