NORTypf
CIwEERINGl PACIFIC NORTHWEST ENGINEERING, INC.
Therefore, we could use the original drawings as the outline for our
observations.
The building is now completed (and has been for years) and is now being
occupied by the public.
The building is 200' long (8 bays each of 25') and 75' wide. There are
variations to the plans; both the south end wall and the north end wall have
been installed as a mirror of the original permitted plans., and there is a
12'x12" overhead door and a 6'0" wide man door installed on one side
wall. None of these building variations have any effect on the building
lateral system, by virtue of the method of construction (steel moment
frames with cable crossties)
There has been a permitted and inspected building attached to the
structure. This attached building has no lateral or gravity bearing on
Building 10.
We have visited the site three times for verification and observations. We
have arbitrarily tested the bolt placement for tightness (with a torque
410, wrench). We reviewed bolt placement and find all required holes are
filled. We reviewed the anchor bolt placement and find that they are all of
the correct diameter and all have nuts properly installed. We could not
verify the length of the anchor bolts, but they were inspected with the
placement of the foundation system. All the cable crossties are installed
correctly. Both the purlins and girts are the correct size and have been
installed as per the manufacture's recommendations.
The existing concrete slab does not show any undue wear nor signs of
failure.
It is, therefore, our recommendations that this building be accepted as having met all the
requirements for a"Final".
PR
If you have any questions, please feel free in calling me. \ G N Fss
Frp
Thank You, I 6
r) ,-7)*
rings , .E. ' G O
President -- r 6
C:\WORK\BILLINGS\CHHOMES-01.DOC S.
