Aurora, oregon Dear A~ inspection of your proposed subdivision, known as Kasel Court and located directly north of 21883 /%irport Road NE, Aurora, was conducted on Septer~ber 26, 1988. The 1ot~ of the proposed subdivision do not meet the requirements of the Department of Environmental Quality On-Site Sewage Disposal Rules and cannot be approved as submitted. The soils in all of the test holes consisted of a surface layer, ranging from 36 inches to 48 inches, of silt loam. This was underlain with a layer of salt loam grading to a sandy loam to the bottom of the test holes at a depth of 72 inches. No evidence of a temporary water table or conditions associated with saturation was observed in the test holes. With the exception of a small area at the front of the property that has been filled, the Soils on the property are acceptable for On-Site Sewage Disposal. The lot~ range in size from 12,776.62 sq. feet to 14,710.90 sq. feet. A s~te evaluation report was issued in January o~ 1988 on Lot 1, which is 14,710.90 sq. feet and the largest lot in the snbcllvision, and it was ~etermined at that time that there was jus= enough roo~ to allow for the installatlon of the initial septic system and provide for the replacement area using a sand filter alternative system for the replacement, Based on ~hat information, it does not see~ feasible that the remaining, smaller lots have sufficient area for the required septic system and replacement area. If it =an be shown that there is sufficient area on each lot, as required by the D.E.Q. rules, we could recon- sider our ~e¢lsion. If you wish to consider this, have a D.E.Q. licensed septic ~nstaller lay out ~he septic system and replacement area on each lot and submit a plot plan showing the placement of the ~rainfields.
