As you explained the conditions to me, I understand that the inlet and outlet t~tees" inside the septic tank fell off and allowed the solldg of the septic tank to flow out of the tank into the disposal field and subsequently caused the failure of the disposal field. The tank fittings are currently in place and have apparently been repaired prior to my visit. Although no evidence of failure was noted at the time of my inspection, you indicated that the system is not operating properly and the disposal field backs up into the septic tank and overflows out the SOp of the tank. Your application is for a permit to repair the septic system so the system will function in a satisfactory manner. After an inspection of the property, it is apparent that there is inadequate area on the property to make a repair to the septic system that will meet the required setbacks of the Department of ~nvironmental Quality rules. The existing house, carport, storage shed and existing septic system cover nearly all of the lot with no area left for septic system repair, tt is my understanding that the adjacent lot may be available for disposal field repair.
