The 2015 IBC code
defines a safe alternate method with in the same code section as in the 2014 OSSC/OMSC. Given the smaller
sloped roof and controlled access,a fall restraint/fall arrest system would be better for life safety.
Please see the attached code reference, OSHA reference, proposed plan of roof access and anchor locations.
LIST SUBSTANTIATING EVIDENCE(REPORTS,STUDIES,ETC)—ATTACH COPIES OF DOCUMENTATION
Ridge-It anchor test report/manufacturer information,the 2015 IBC 1015.6 section,the pumphouse plans, 2014
OMSC code reference,a picture of the roof at the roof vent, and the denied inspection report is attached.
thereby -est appr vat to use an alternate material(s)and/or method(s)from that required by code as described above.
I/ Signed: Date: eftDf`Ibl7
-
${Approved
D Approved with conditions
n Denied-
Signed: Alkpo(i_f Date: 8 //`u/z0f1
G:\FORMSmLDGIB-37Altemate Material or Method BequesLdoc
