9-12-13
Alternate Material(s) and/or Method(s) Application
Chuck E. Cheese's expansion/remodel
Footnote #1
• Installation of a hard ceiling attached to the bottom of the
trusses defeats a primary objective of the project (raising the
ceiling to a common height of 11') as it leaves insufficient room
between the sheet rock and the ACT to run HVAC ducts.
• Much of the electrical, some of the plumbing (both water and
air) and the roof drains are currently in or project into the
proposed space between the sheet rock and the new ACT.
Relocating these elements inside the truss cords would make
any future work, inspection and maintenance of or repair of
extremely difficult to achieve and would compromise the
protection provided by the sheetrock with dozens, perhaps
hundreds, of penetrations.
• Installation of sheet rock would require the business to close for
extended periods of time and potentially result in the projects
cancelation.
