Altern~te embedded plates provided by Valmont may be used with
the approval of the engineer. The anchor bolts am to bo embedded a minimum of 5'-0". The Concrete shall
have a 28 day compressive strength of 4,000 psi. '

This foundation has been designed using UBC 1991 seismic and wind forces. Seismic zone III, and
80 mph exposure type "C' forces controlled the d~sign. A computer analysis provided by the geotechnical
eugineer established the recommended caisson depth and general design dimensions. "LPILE' computer
results were used in association with ACI 318/89 qodes to design the caisson. The foundation is designed for
an over-turning moment of 18,688 in-kips, base shear of 17.5 kips, and bearing force of 15.9 kips.
Maximum service loads were provided by Valmor t. The allowable soil bearing pressme is 3000 psf, under
seismic and wind loads. The maximum soil bearh g pressure is 2200 psf.

Tim Terich, E.I.T
7/7/95

Mike Hayford, P.E.

7/7/95

.'d- 2 I! ~ ,'i
BUIL[~IN~ iN,.SPECT~O't~
