CA~FING FILL $Y$~ CONSTRUCTION DETAIL SHEET October 19, 1993 APPLICANT: SITE NUMBER: FRANKLIN & DELORES WILLIAMS 93-3085 Your site has been found suitable for a CAPPING FILL ALTERNATIVE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM. The following construction specifications shall apply to the installation of your septic system. The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1000 gallons. The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at 450 Gallons Der day. Based on soil conditions observed on this site, the disposal field will be sized at 150 lineal ..~.9~t per 150 gallons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 450 lineal feet of disposal field will be required for your proposed develop- ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125 feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed level (±1") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface. The disposal field shall be constructed with serial distribution with a minimum trench depth of 12 inches and a maximum trench depth of 12 inches. The capping fill material must be inspected and approved prior to placement. The fill shall be of the same textural class, or one class finer, than the native topsoil. The disposal field area must be scarified to destroy any vegetative mat on the surface. Fill material shall be evenly graded to a final depth of sixteen (16) inches over the gravel. The site must be protested from traffic, livestock, farming or other damaging activities. A groundwater interceptor is required as part of this system. This interceptor trench must be constructed a minimum twelve (12) inches wide by 30 inches deep with 24 inches of clean gravel placed over a four (4) inch smooth wall perforated pip~. The interceptor must be located at least ten (10) feet upslope from the disposal field and must discharge through a watertight, non- perforated pipe beside or below the disposal field. A separation of 25 feet is required from the septic tank if the tank is located upslope of the groundwa- ter interceptor. An effluent lift pump may be necessary to construct the disposal field in the approved area and at the correct depth. This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho- rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is proposed for a different area on the property. SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Construct the drainfields within the immediate area of the soil test pits. There is a moderate to severe rock hazard associated with drain- field construction. Rock larger than six inches must be removed from backfill material. Observe all normal setback/separation distances. THIS IS NOT A PHRMIT TO IN~T,~?.T. THH SEPTIC SYSTEM. DO NOT INSTALL THE SYSTEM UNTIL A VALID PERMIT HAS BEEN ISSUED BY THIS OFFICE.
