Co, unty <br /> OR£GON <br />COMMUNITY DI]VEI.OPM~-NT <br />C)EPARTMEN I <br /> <br />Building Inspection - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1993 ~dition One and Two Family Dwelling specialty Code. <br /> <br />A copy of approved plans shall be kept on the site of the building or <br />work at the time of inspection. (R-ii1.2) <br /> <br />This plan review covers the addition to and/or alteration of an existing <br />structure. This review is not intended to prohibit the building <br />inspector from requesting an evaluation of the acceptability of existing <br />structural members that may appear to be unsafe. Existing construction <br />not specifically detailed in the submitted plans and structural <br />calculations is beyond the scope of this review. <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R-301.3) <br /> <br />Foundation walls and other vertical concrete exposed to the weather <br />shall have a minimum specified compressive strength of 3000 psi. <br />Porches, carport slabs, garage floor slabs and steps exposed to the <br />weather shall have a minimum specified compressive strength of 3500 psi. <br />Table No. (R-302.2) <br /> <br />Footings sections: 12 in. wide - 1 story; lB in.- 2 story, 18 in. 3 <br />story. Footings shall extend not less than 12 in. below the finish <br />natural grade. (R-303) <br /> <br />Foundation walls shall extend at least 6 in. above the finished grade to <br />the foundation at all points. (~-304.2) <br /> <br />A keyway in the footing is an acceptable method and will transfer the <br />lateral loads, OR provide a 18 inch long No. 3 dowels extending 12 <br />inches from the footing into the wall, 4 feet on center, or pour the <br />footing and stemwall at one time (monolithically). All wood left <br />permanently in contact with the foundation shall be FQUNDATION <br />WITH ALL CUT ENDS P~ND/OR SIDES TP-~ATED with an approved wood <br />preservative. <br /> <br />Provide at least 1 square foot of underf~oor ventilation fer ~ach 150 <br />square feet of crawl space area. The openings shall be covered with a <br />corrosion resistant wire mesh. At least one such opening shall be <br />provided within 3 feet of each corner of the building. (R-311.1) <br /> <br />Provide an access crawl hole to the underfloor space. The minimum size <br />opening required is 18 inches by 24 inches. (R-311.2) <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
