BUTTE STREET, DETROIT, OREGON 97342

An evaluation has been made of the above described property proposed for
installation of an on-site sewage disposal system. As a result of that
invectigation, it has been determined that the site specified on your applica-
tion does not qualify for a standard septic system or any of the alternative
systems. The conditions on the cite do not meet the minimum requirements of
the Department of Environmental Quality On-Site Sewage Disposal Rules. These
rules are specified in Oregon Adminictrative Rules, Chapter 340, Division 71,
Sections 100 through 600. Consequently, this site muct be denied.

The principal reasons for denial o~ this site are related to parcel size and
setbacks. The following paragraphs outline the specific reasons for this
denial°

PARCEL SIZE AND SETBACKS:
1. There is insufficient area on the property for installation of an
approved on-site septic system which will meet the setbacks aa
required in the D.E.Q. rules. The setbacks which are of particular
concern are circled on the attached sheet. Each lot Or parcel must
have sufficient usable area available to accommodate an initial
and replacement septic system.

ADDITI

to and the
complete the stakeout. Note, especially the
setback between the lowest drainfield line and the down-slope excavation
(cutbank). A list of installerB who can assist with the stakeout is included
for your convenience.

If you disagree with this evaluation, you may appeal to D.E.Q. A request may
be submitted to the D.E.Q. for a denial review and they will visit the
property and make a determination on the suitability of your site for instal-
lation of an on-site sewage disposal system. Application must be made to the
WLllamette Valley Regional Office of the D.E.Q. within thirty (30) days of
denial notification. D.B.Q. will charge a fee for this inspection.

Call, if you have any q~estions. Our hours are 8:00 to 4:30, Monday through
MARION COUNTY, BUILDING INSPECTIONS
