13213 ASPEN WAY, <br />94-02928 (56884) <br />August 14, 1994 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />Building InSpection - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attaehe~ plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of oregon <br />1993 Edition one and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />This plan review covers the addition to and/or alteration of an existing <br />Structure. This review is not intended to prohibit the building <br />inspector from requesting aa evaluation of the acceptability of existing <br />strucDural members that may appear to be unsafe. Existing construction <br />not specifically detailed in the submitted plans and structural <br />calculations is beyond the scope of this review. <br /> <br />~ copy of approved plans shall be kept on the site of the building or <br />work at the time of inspection. (R-iI1.2) <br /> <br />Foundation walls and other vertical concrete exposed to the weather <br />shall have a minimum specified compressive strength of 3000 psi. <br />Porches, carport slabs, garage floor slabs and steps exposed to the <br />weather shall have a minimum specified compressive strength of 3500 psi. <br />Table No. (R-30~.2) <br /> <br />A keyway in the footing is an acceptable method and will transfer the <br />lateral loads, OK provide a 18 inch lonq NO. 3 dowels extending 12 <br />inches from the footing into the wall, 4 feet on center or the footing <br />and stemwall in one pour (moeolithically). Ail wood left permanently in <br />contact with the foundation shall be foundation grade WIT~ ALL CUT ends <br />or si~es TREATED with an approved wood preservative. <br /> <br />THE FURRED OUT SECTION BETWEEN THE FAMILY ROOM AMD GARAGE MUST BE <br />PROTECTED AS FOLLOWS. The garage shall be completely separated from <br />the residence and its attic area by means of 1/2-inch gypsum board or <br />equivalent applied to the garage side. <br /> <br />When alterations repairs or additions are made to an existing dwelling, <br />the entire building shall be provided with smoke detectors located as <br />required for new dwellings. (R-215.1) <br /> <br />This house plan uses a combination of Brace Panels (BP) and Alternate <br />Brace Panels (ABP) to met the code rquirements for lateral bracing. <br />Insure that all BP's and ABp'S are located as indicated o~ the plans and <br />constructed as show~ on the plans, <br /> <br />Energy Path #1 is based on R-21 wall insulation, R-25 underflcor <br />insulatiioa, R-30 vaulted ceiling insulation, R-38 flat ceiling <br />insulation, R-21 basement walls, B-15 slab floor edge insulation, <br />forced air duct insulation, 0.40 U-value window class, 0.50 U-value <br />skylight class, 0.54 U-value main entry door with a maximum of 24 square <br />feet and 0.20 U-value doors, other than the main entry (including the <br />door between the heated dwelling and the unheated garage). <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
