Marion County

OREGON
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMI=NT
DEPARTMENT

BUILDING INSPECTION Elizabeth Meininge
(503)588~]47 25450 NE Eilern Rd.
Aurora, Oregon 97002

ENFORCEMENT

BOARD

Randall Fr~nkc
Gary Heer

OFFiCeR
Ken RoudyBu~h

Subject:

15109 Second St. NE, Aurora
site number: 92-524

The fax of your proposal for development of the above property was
received on May 17, 1993. I visited the site on May 17 and made
notations on the following items:
1. There are six longer lines staked on the property and the
site plan shown only five. The site plan must accurately
represent the proposed development on the property.
2. The linen, as they are staked, do not appear to be level.
The dinposal field lines munt be staked to elevations within
the limitationn of the site evaluation. In thin case, the
depth limitation~ for the trenches are 24 inches to 36
inches which allows for a maximum variation in elevation of
12 inches in the length of each line.
3. The lines are closer than 10 feet to the property linen. All
setback requirements must be observed in laying out the
system. All property lines require a minimum setback of l0
feet to the disposal field. AS we discussed previously, the
private driveway does not requi~e a setback. I have included
a setback table for your information.

I have enclosed a copy of the procedure for properly staking out a
septic system and highlighted the items which need Special attention.
Please follow the procedure carefully when designing the system. I
would suggest that you hire a septic system contractor who hah the
equipment and abilities to design the system following the D.E.Q.
rules.

Please be aware, aisc, that the location of the homesite downslope of
the disposal field does not allow for any excavation for the home. I
have highlighted the setback requirement on the enclosed setback
table.

Please call our office if you have any questions. Our hours are 8:00
to 4:30~ Monday through Friday.

ROBERT FOSTER
REGISTERED SAN ~ TARIAN

DONALD WOODLEY
B~LDIN~ OFFICIAL

Senator Building 220 High Street NE Salem, Oregon 97301-3670
