Mario ounty

OREGON
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DEPARTMENT

NOTICE OF DENIAL:

EVALUATION REPORT FOR AN
0N-SITE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM

August 15, 1994

KEN & SANDY ALLEN
7927 STONEFIELD CT SE
AUMSVILLE, OREGON 97325

SUBJECT: SITE #94-2845,

FILE

T=BS, R=2W, S:26C, NORTH PO. T/L: 2300

SITE ADDRESS~ 7925 STONEFIELD CT SE. AUMSVILLE, OR 97325

An evaluation has been made of the above described property proposed for
installation of an on-site sewage disposal system. As a result of that
investigation, it has been determined that the site specified on your applica-
tion does not qualify for a standard septic system or any of the alternative
systems. The conditions on the site do not meet the minimum requirements of
the Department of Enviror~ental Quality On-Site Sewage Disposal Rules. These
rules are specified in Oregon Administrative Rules, chapter 340, Division 71,
Sections 100 through 600. Consequently, this site must be denied.

The principal reasons for denial of this site are related to shallow seasonal
water tables. The following paragraphs outline the specific reasons for this
denial.

WATER TABLES:
1. A water table, as indicated by conditions associated with satura-
tion, was observed on the property as follows=
a. Evidence of a seasonal water table was observed at 27 to 32
inches below the ground surface. These measurements were to
the depth of the soil mottling or to the actual depth of an
observed water table.
2. The above conditions do not meet the minimum D.E.Q. rules pertain-
ing to standard and alternative sewage systems. The minimum
requirements are listed below:
a. A seasonal groundwater table cannot be less than 60 inches
below the ground surface for installation of a standard
septic system or 36 inches for installation of any of the
alternative systems.

If you disagree with this evaluation, you may appeal to D.E.Q. A request may
be submitted to the D.E.Q. for a denial review and they will visit the
property and make a determination on the suitability of your site for instal-
lation of an on-site sewage disposal system. Application must be made to the
Willamette valley Regional Office of the D.E.Q. within thirty (30) days of
denial notification. D.E.Q. will charge a fee for this inspection.

Please call our office if you have any questions. Our hours are S=00 to 4:30,

Monday through Friday.

MARION COUNTY BUILDING INSPECTIONS
