Bathrooms shall be provided with artificial light and an approved <br /> mechanical ventilation system capable of producing a change of air every <br /> 12 minutes or a window of not less than 3 sq. ft., one-half of which <br /> must be openable. (R-203.3) <br /> <br />11 Wood framed walls a minimum of two feet and less than four feet wide at <br /> garage door openings shall be provided with approved hold-down anchors <br /> at each end of each wall segment. The hold-downs shall connect the wall <br /> studding to the concrete foundataion. An alternate design which is <br /> designed to resist an $0 mile per hour wind load may be submitted to <br /> Marion County for review with details shown on the plans and design <br /> calculations showing compliance with this requirement. <br /> <br /> Provide screened attic vents with a net free area of 1/150 of the attic <br /> area (or 1/300 if half is along eaves and the other half in the upper <br /> portion). (R-707) <br /> <br />13. A readily accessible attic access shall be provided to any attic area <br /> having a clear height of over 30 inches. A framed opening not less than <br /> 22 in. by 30 in. is required. (R-708) <br /> <br />14. Energy Path #8 is based on R-15 wall insulation, R-21 underfloor <br /> insulation, R-38 vaulted ceiling insulation, R-49 flat ceiling <br /> insulation, R-21 basement walls~ R-15 slab floor edge insulatiion, <br /> forced air duct insulation, 0.40 U-value window class with a maximum <br /> window area of 12% of the total heated floor area, 0.50 U-value skylight <br /> class, 0.20 U-value all exterior doors. <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction.
