(Underground Reinforced <br /> Concrete Tank) <br /> <br />BUILDING CLASS: M-1 (Tank: 93,000 gal.) <br /> <br />The plans for the above indicated project are acceptable as submitted <br />subject to the following items noted below: <br /> <br />This is a Plan Review covering the construction of the above indicated new <br />93,0Q0 gallon underground fire fighting water storage tank. Plans have been <br />reviewed for compliance with the provisions of the Oregon State Structural <br />Specialty Code ('91 UBC) 1993 Edition. <br /> <br />A water supply sufficient to control a potential fire is required. See <br />Appendix ~I-A of the Uniform Fire code. Contact the local fire <br />department and/or deputy state fire marshal for requirements. The chief <br />shall establish the minimum residual pressure and flow duration when <br />determining fire flow. (U.P.C. 10.401) <br /> <br />The location, number and type of fire hydrants connected to a water <br />supply capable of delivering the required fire flow shall be provided on <br />the site of the premises to be protected as required and approved by the <br />chief. Fire hydrants shall be accessible to the fire department <br />apparatus by roads meeting the requirements of Qivision II. <br />(U.F.C. Sec. 10.403) Contact the local fire department and/or deputy <br />state fire marshal for requirements. This plan review does not include <br />the above requirement. <br /> <br />The structural calculations submitted indicate the top tank slab was <br />designed to support 100 pounds per sq. ft. live load. The owner of the <br />structure shall be responsible for keeping the actual load below the <br />allowable limits. (2304(e)) <br /> <br />Approval of submitted plans is not an approval of omissions or oversights by <br />this office or of noncompliance with any applicable regulations of local <br />government. <br /> <br />Local Fire Districts may have additional requirements that affect this <br />project.
