11466 Ditter Drive SE <br />Permit # 55018 <br /> <br />May 25, 1994 ' i .... <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />Marion County <br /> OREGON <br />C©MMUNiTY DEVELOPMI~NT <br />DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />Building Inspection - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1993 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty code. <br /> <br />The structural supports for decks, balconies, porches or similar <br />structures shall be pressure-treated wood to protect against decay. <br />(R-309.1) <br /> <br />Stairways shall not be less than 3 feet in clear width and the headroom <br />shall not be less than 6 feet 8 inches. The minimum required stair <br />tread width is 9 inches. The maximum stair rise is 8-1/4 inches. When <br />risers are closed, all treads may have a uniform projection not to <br />exceed 1 1/2 inches. The greatest riser height shall not exceed the <br />smallest by morn than 3/8 inch. (R-213.1} <br /> <br />Handrails meeting the following requirements shall be provided on at <br />least One side of stairways. The handgrip portion of handrails shall be <br />not more than 2-5/8 inches in cross-sectional dimension, or the shape <br />shall provide an equivalent gripping surface. Handrails shall be <br />mounted between a minimum of 30 inches and a maximum of 38 inches. They <br />shall be continuous the full length of the stairs. Ends shall be <br />returned or shall terminate in newel posts or safety terminals. <br />(R-214.1) <br /> <br />Porches, balconies or raised floor surfaces located more than 30 in. <br />above the floor or grade shall have guardrail not less than 36 inches in <br />height. Required guardrail shall have intermediate rails or ornamental <br />closures which will not allow passage of an object 6 in. or more in <br />diameter. Horizontal spacing between the vertical members in required <br />guardrails shall be a maximum of 4 inches at the nearest point between <br />the members. (R-214.2) <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Reviews or inspections <br />presuming tO give authority tO violate or cancel the provisions of the <br />dwelling code or of other ordinances of the Jurisdiction shall not be valid. <br /> <br />JT: <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
