Marion County <br /> <br /> OREGON <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br /> DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />DIRECTOR <br /> <br />BUILDING INSPECTION <br />(5[)3) 588-5147 <br /> <br />ENFORCEMENT <br />(503; 588-5038 <br /> <br />[IOARD OF <br />COMMI551ON[Rg <br />RandaJl Franke <br />G~ry Heer <br /> <br />AO~INIST~TIVE <br />OFFICER <br />Ken Roudybugh <br /> <br />October 4, 1994 <br /> <br />Donald & Deanna Hatch <br />4468 Medina Lane EB <br />Salem, Ore,on 97301 <br /> <br />On August 24, 1994, our office received a complaint about a possible <br />sewage problem at 9392 Santiam Loop SB, Aumsville, which according to <br />tax records you own. <br /> <br />It was observed that when the kitchen sink er clothes washer is used, <br />waste water emerges from the ground outside the residence, runs down <br />the fountain trough, and into a open concrete pipe at the end of the <br />trough used as a receptor. <br /> <br />As per the State of Oregon One and Two Family Dwellin~ Specialty <br />Code, it shall be unlawful for any person to cause, suffer, or permit <br />the disposal of sewage, human excrement, or other liquid wastes, in <br />any place or manner, except through and by means of an approved <br />plumbing and drainage system. Also the code requires that each <br />plumbing fixture shal% be p~ovided with an adequate supply of potable <br />running water. <br /> <br />As per the Dwelling Specialty Code and Oregon Adr~in[strative Kules, <br />Chapter 918, it is the owner or his designated agents responsibility <br />to maintain the plumbing system in a safe and sanitary condition. <br /> <br />Due to the severity of the unsafe and unsanitary condition that <br />exists, the use of the kitchen sink and clothes washer shall cease <br /> <br />The kitchen sink and clothes washer will need to be properly connect- <br />ed to the building drainage system.
