S., Detroit <br />94-1805 / 9055111 <br />June 13, 1994 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />Marion County <br /> OREGON <br />COMMUNI'i'¥ D[VI~LOPMENT <br /> <br />Building Inspectien - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1993 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty code. <br /> <br />Approved numbers or addresses shall be placed on all buildings in such a <br />position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road <br />fronting the property. (UFC 10.208) <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R-301.3) <br /> <br />Pirestopping shall be provided in the following locations: <br /> A) In concealed spaces of stud walls, including furred spaces, <br /> at the ceiling and floor level; <br /> B) At all interconnections between concealed vertical and <br /> horizontal spaces such as occur at soffits, drop ceilings <br /> etc.; <br /> C) At openings around vents, pipes ducts, chimneys and <br /> fireplaces at ceiling and floor level, with noncombustible <br /> materials. (R-402.7) <br /> <br />The door between the garage and residence shall be equipped with solid <br />wood doors not less than 1 3/8 inches in thickness or 20-minute fire <br />rated, or equivalent. This door will also be required to meet the <br />energy code which required a minimum U-0.20 rating. (R-209.2) <br /> <br />Water heaters in seismic ~one 3 shall be anchored or strapped to resist <br />horizontal displacement due to earthquake motion. P-1310 <br /> <br />Smoke detectors shall receive their primary power from the building <br />wiring and when primary power is interrupted, shall receive power from a <br />battery. (R-215.2) <br /> <br />Roof trusses are required to be designed by an Oregon registered <br />Engineer or Architect. For trusses manufactured by an approved <br />fabrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the <br />construction site for the framing inspection. All job site cutting or <br />modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the <br />engineer's design calculations and drawings. <br /> <br />Exterior joints around windows and door frames, between wall cavities <br />and window or door frames, between wall and foundation~ between wall and <br />roof, between wall panels, at penetrations or utility services threugh <br />walls, floors and roofs and all other openings in the exterior envelope <br />shall be sealed in a manner approved by the building official. <br />(§303(e)2) <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
