This review is not intended to prohibit the building <br />inspector from requesting an evaluation of the acceptability of existing <br />structural members that may a~pear to be unsafe. Existing construction <br />not specifically detailed in the submitted plans and structural <br />calculations is beyond the scope of this review. <br /> <br />A cepy of approved plans shall be kept on the site of the building or <br />work at the time of inspection. (R-ii1.2) <br /> <br />Every sleeping room shall have at least one operable window appreved for <br />emergency egress or rescue. The windew sill height shall not be mere <br />than 44 inches above the fleor. The minimum net clear opening width <br />dimension shall be 20 inches. The minimum net opening height shall be <br />24 inches. The minimum net clear opening area shall be at leas% 5.7 <br />square feet. <br /> <br />4. When alterations repairs or additions are made te an existing dwelling, <br /> the entire building shall be provided with smoke detectors located as <br /> required for new dwellings. (R-215.1) <br /> <br />5. smoke detectors shall be installed outside of each separate sleeping <br /> area in the immediate v~cinity of the bedreoms and en each addi~ienal <br /> story of the dwelling including basements. All detectors shall be <br /> interconnected such that the actuation of one alarm will actuate all the <br /> alarms in the individual unit and shall provide an alarm which will be <br /> audible in all sleeping areas. (R-215.1) <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code or of other erdinances of the jurisdiction. Reviews or inspections <br />presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the previsions of the <br />dwelling code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction shall not be valid. <br /> <br />JT: <br /> <br />"APPROVE~" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
