SE, Aumsville <br />93-02495 (48553) <br />July 22, 1993 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> _a.,rion County <br /> ORi~GON <br />COMMUNITY DI]VELOPMENT <br />DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />Building Inspection ~ D~elling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1990 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />This plan review covers the addition to and/or alteration of an existing <br />structure. This review is not intended to prohibit the building <br />inspector from requesting an evaluation of the acceptability of existing <br />structural members that may app@ar to be unsafe. Existing construction <br />not specifically detailed in the submitted plans and structural <br />calculations is beyond the scope of this review. <br /> <br />when alterations repairs or additions are made to an existing dwelling, <br />the ~ntire building shall be provided with smoke detectors located as <br />required for new dwellings. (R-215.1) <br /> <br />New ceiling and roof Over existing portion o~ alteration shall be <br />insulated with R-38 insulation in accordance with Energy Path <br /> <br />The door between the garage and the dwelling shall have a U-value of <br />0.20. Openings between the garage and residence shall be equipped with <br />either solid wood doors not less than 1 3/8 inches in thickness or 20- <br />minute fire rated doors, or equivalent. (R-209.1) <br /> <br />All habitable rooms shall be provided with aggregate glazing area of not <br />less than $ percent of the floor area of such rooms. One-half of the <br />required area cf glazing shall De openable. The glazed areas may be <br />omitted in rooms where an approved mechanical ventilation system is <br />provided capable of producing a change of air every 30 minutes, <br />artificial light is provided capable of producing an average <br />illumination of 6 footcandles over the area of the room at a height of <br />30 inches above the floor level. (R-203.1) <br /> <br />Provide attic ventilation. The net free ventilating area shall be not <br />less than 1 to 150 of the area of the space ventilated. (R-707) <br /> <br />Roof trusses are required to be designed by an Oregon registered <br />Engineer or Architect. FOr trusses manufactured by an approved <br />fabrication plant, have th~ deelgn and layout drawinge available at the <br />construction site for the framing inspection. All job site cutting or <br />modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the <br />engineer's design calculations and drawings. If trusses aide to be built <br />at the job site, submit the engineer's design and construction plans to <br />the Marion County Building Department prior to start of construction and <br />have the approved drawings available at the site for the framing <br />inspection. <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
