300 Lakecrest Drive <br />~ermit # 4826B <br />Control ~ 93-2344 <br />August 4, 1993 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />Marion County <br /> OREGON <br />COMMUNITY DEVtCLOPMI:NT <br />OE pAR, TMENT <br /> <br />Building ~nsgection - Dwellin~ Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1993 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />Approved numbers or addresses shall be placed on all buildings in such a <br />position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road <br />fronting the property. (UFC 10.208) <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R-301.3) <br /> <br />Stairways shall not be less than 3 feet in clear width and the headroom <br />shall not be less than 6 ~eet 8 inches. The minimum required stair <br />tread width is 9 inches. The maximum stair rise is 8 1/4 inches. When <br />risers are closed, all treads may have a uniform projection not to <br />exceed 1 1/2 inches. The greatest riser height shall not exceed the <br />smallest by more than 3/8 inch. (R-213.1) <br /> <br />Handrails meeting the following requirements shall be provided on at <br />least one side of stairways. The handgrip portion of handrails shall be <br />not more than 2 5/8 inches in cross-sectional dimension, or the shape <br />shall provide an equivalent gripping surface. Handrails shall be <br />mounted between a minimum of 30 inches and a maximum of 38 inches. They <br />shall b~ continuous the ~ull length o~ the stairs. Ends shall be <br />returned or shall terminate in newel posts or safety terminals. <br />(R-214.1) <br /> <br />Open sides of stairs with a total rise of more than 30 inches above the <br />floor or grade below shall have guard~ails not less than 34 inches in <br />height measured vertically from the nosing of the treads. (R-214.1) <br />Guardrail shall have intermediate rails or ornamental closures which <br />will not allow passage of an object 6 in. or more in dia~neter. <br />Horizontal spacing between the vertical members in required guardrails <br />shall be a maximum of 4 inches at the nearest point between the members. <br />(R-214.2) <br /> <br />Every sleeping room shall have at least one operable window approved for <br />emergency egress or rescue. The window sill height shall not be more <br />than 44 inches above the floor. The minimum net slear opening width <br />dimension shall be 20 inches. The minimum net opening height shall be <br />24 inches. The minimum net clear opening area shall be at least 5.7 <br />square feet.
