SEEPAGE TRENCH SYSTEM, CONSTRUCTION DBTAIL SHEET March 26, 1992 APPLICANTs SITE NUMBER; HOHNSTEIN/JOHN ELDON 14469 YOUr sate has been found suitable for a SEEPAGE TP~ENUH ALTERNATIVE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM. The following construction specifications shall apply to the installation of your septic system. 1. The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1000 gallons. The projec=ed daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at 450..q~.~.lons per day. Based on soil conditions observed on this site, the disposal field will be sized at 50 lineal feet Der 150 qallons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 150 lineal fee~ of disposal field will be required for your proposed develop- ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125 feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed level (±1") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface. The disposal field shall be constructed with serial distribution with a minimum trench depth of 36~nches and a maximum trench depth of 42 inches. The depth of filter below the distribution pipe shall be 18 inches. There must be at least 12 inches of backfill over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground surface. An effluent lift pump may be necessary to construct the disposal field in the approved area and at the correct depth. This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise authorized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is proposed for a different area on the property. SPECIAL CONDITIONS~ Drainfields must be constructed as the individual lines are currently staked for location. A twenty-five feet minimum separation is required between the downslope house excavation and the lowest drainfield lines of both the original and replacement drainfields. Refer to the enclosed setback list which outlines other conditions that will affect the building site and drainfield construction. It will be difficult to con- struct drainfields on this steep hillside. Caution must be exercised not to disturb the natural topsoil during drainfield construction. Any clearing activities should be performed by the same party responsible for the drainfield construction, or someone knowledgeable about minimum site conditions required for drainfield construction.
