Anchors are to be <br />provided at each end of each wall segment and connect the wall studding <br />to the concrete foundation. As an alternate, a designed structural <br />system to resist the required 80 mile per hour wind load can be <br />provided. <br /> <br />Provide attic ventilation. The net free ventilating area shall be not <br />less than 1 to 150 of the area of the space ventilated. (R-307) <br /> <br />A readily accessible attic access shall be provided to any attic area <br />having a clear height of over 30 inches. A framed opening not less than <br />22 in. by 30 in. is required. (R-708) <br /> <br />Roof trusses are shown as an alternate at the garages. Roof trusses are <br />required to be designed by an Oregon registered Engineer or Architect. <br />For trusses manufactured by an approved fabrication plant, have the <br />design and layout drawings available at the construction site for the <br />framing inspection. All job site cutting or modification of the roof <br />trusses shall be clearly shown in the engineer's design calculations and <br />drawings. If trusses are to be built at the job site, submit the <br />engineer's design and construction plans to the Marion County Building <br />Department prior to start of construction and have the approved drawings <br />available at the site for the framing inspection. <br /> <br />"I" Joist floor joists are shown on the plans as an option. If I joists <br />are used, have the layout and manufacturer's installation instructions <br />and details available at the construction site for the framing <br />inspection. Install the "I" joists per the manufacturer's installation <br />instructions and details. <br /> <br />Factory built chimneys shall conform 'to the conditions of their listing <br />and the manufacturer's instructions. (R-902) <br /> <br />Factory-built fireplace stoves, consisting of a freestanding fire <br />chamber assembly, that have been tested and are listed by a nationally <br />recognized testing laboratory, shall be installed in accordance with the <br />requirements of said listing and the manufacturer's instructions. <br />(R-905) <br /> <br />Each solid fuel burning masonry or factory built fireplace shall be <br />equipped with an outside air inlet. (R-906) <br /> <br />4x14 beams are shown on the plans at the ridge in both the living room <br />and master bedroom. Both are overspanned for the roof loads and spans. <br />Provide 3 1/8" x 15" glulam beams in both the living room and the master <br />bedroom at the ridge or submit an alternate for review to Marion County <br />Building Inspection. <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction.
