This review is not intended to prohibit the building <br />inspector from requesting an evaluation of the acceptability of existing <br />structural members that may appear to be unsafe. Existing construction <br />not specifically detailed in the submitted plans and structural <br />calculations is beyond the scope of this review. <br /> <br />The plans submitted do not clearly show all the required framing <br />details. It is the designer's responsibility to size all structural <br />members and fasteners for the appropriate loads and then show them on <br />the plans. (R-il0) (13,200 lbs~ wind uplift force) <br /> <br />GARAGE REVIEW: <br /> <br />The 4x4 post used in the construction of the garage are required to be a <br />maximum of 5 foot 5 inches on center. <br /> <br />The center support footing is required to be a minimum of 16 inch by 16 <br />inch. <br /> <br />All exterior walls shall be provided lateral bracing at each end and <br />every 25 feet of wall length by one of the following methods: <br />A: 1 x 4 let in diagonal braces between 45 and 60 degrees from the <br /> horizontal. <br />S= Approved metal strap devices installed in accordance with the <br /> manufacturer's specifications. <br /> Approved structural sheathing. (plywood, waferwood, etc. Braced <br /> panels must be a minimum of 4 feet in width.) (R-402.10) <br /> <br />RAMADA <br /> <br />The 4x4 post used in the construction of the ramada are required to be a <br />maximum of 6 foot on center. <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Reviews or inspections <br />presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the <br />dwelling code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction shall not be valid. <br /> <br />Reviewed by H.L.
