Mr. Joe Green
Project No. EAIX-91-411
Report No. 09-121-2123
December 26, 1991
Page 5

should be taken to protect prepared bearing surfaces
until footing concrete ~an be placed. Precautions to
achieve this end would consist of (1) covering of
prepared bearing surfaces with impervious membranes or
granular blankets (4-in. minimum thickness) or (2)
cessation of work during rainy weather.

6. Surface run-off (from roofs, parking areas, etc.)
should be tight-lined to the storm sewer or other
approved disposal areas,

7. Surface topography, such as landscape area should
be so contured so that surface run-off is directed away
from the area of the strUcture.

8. Ail slope areas should be protected from erosion by
seeding with suitable vegetation or by the placement of
a granular blanket consisting of adequate rip rap
material.

9. We request, that we examine and identify soil
exposures created during project excavations in order to
verify that soil conditions are as anticipated. We
r~commend that the structural fills be continuously
inspected by a representative of the soils engineer in
order to insure the thoroughness and uniformity of their
gompaction.

Use of Report

This report is for the exclusive use of the addressee and
their representative to use to design the proposed structure
described herein and prepare const~ction documents.
