SE, Aumsville <br />september 9~ 1992 <br />Page ~ <br /> <br />Marion County <br /> <br /> OREGON <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />Building Inspection - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the state of Oregon <br />1990 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />This plan review covers the addition to and/or alteration of an existing <br />structure. This review is not intended to prohibit the building <br />inspector from requesting an evaluation of the acceptability of existing <br />structural members that may appea~ to be unsafe. Existing construction <br />not specifically detailed in the submitted plans and structural <br />calculations is beyond the scope of this review. <br /> <br />~ootings sections: 12 in. wide - ~ storyF ~5 in.- 2 story, 18 in. 3 <br />story. (R-303) <br /> <br />Foundation walls shall extend at least 8 in. above the finished grade to <br />the foundation at all points. (R-304.2) (6 in. where pressure treated <br />sill plates are used.) <br /> <br />Foundation plates shall be bolted to the foundation with minimum <br />1/2 inch diameter by 10 inch anchor bolts embedded at least ? inches <br />into concrete or reinforced masonry and spaced not more than 6 feet <br />apart with a minimum of 2 bolts per piece with one bolt within 12 inshes <br />of the end of each piece. Figure (R-303) <br /> <br />When alterations repairs or additions are made to an existing dwelling, <br />the entire building shall be provided with smoke detectors located as <br />required for new dwellings. (R-215.1) <br /> <br />Roof trusses are required to be designed by an Oregon registered <br />Engineer or Architect. For trusses manufactured by an approved <br />fabrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the <br />construction site for the framing inspection. Ail Job site cutting or <br />modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the <br />engineer's design calculations and drawings. If trusses are to be built <br />at the Job site, submit the engineer's design and construction plans to <br />the Marion County Building Department prior to start of construction and <br />have the approved drawings available at the site for the framing <br />inspection. <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Reviews or inspections <br />presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the <br />dwelling code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction shall not be valid. <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
