320 5th St. N, Aumsville <br />August 28, 1992 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />Marion County <br /> <br /> OREGON <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />Building Inspection - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1990 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling S~ecialty Code. <br /> <br />Smoke detectors shall be installed outside of each separate sleeping <br />area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms and on each additional <br />story of the dwelling including basements. In dwelling units with split <br />levels, a smoke detector need be installed only on the upper level, <br />provided the lower level is less than one full story below the upper <br />level, except that if there is a door between levels then a detector is <br />required on each level. All detectors shall be connected to a sounding <br />device or other detectors to provide, when actuated, an alarm which will <br />be audible in all sleeping areas. (R-215.1) <br /> <br />Wood framed walls less than four feet in width at garage door o~enings <br />shall be provided with approved hold-down anchors. Anchors are to be <br />provided at each end of each wall segment and connect the wall studding <br />to the concrete foundation. As an alternate, a designed structural <br />system to resist the required 80 mile per hour wind load can be <br />provided. <br /> <br />Provide attic ventilation. The net free ventilating area shall be not <br />less than 1 to 150 of the area of the space ventilated. (R-307) <br /> <br />A readily accessible attic access shall be provided to any attic area <br />having a clear height of over 30 inches. A framed opening not less than <br />22 in. by 30 in. is required. (R-708) <br /> <br />Roof trusses are required to be designed by an Oregon registered <br />Engineer or Architect. For trusses manufactured by an approved <br />fabrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the <br />construction site for the framing inspection. Ail job site cutting or <br />modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the <br />engineer's design calculations and drawings, If trusses are to be built <br />at the Job site, submit the engineer's design and construction plans to <br />the Marion County Building Department prior to start of construction and <br />have the approved drawings available at the site for the framing <br />inspection. <br /> <br />6. ~nergy Path #1 is indicated on the application. The R-values for the <br /> insulation noted on the plans for the walls and underf]oor do not comply <br /> /~with Path ~1. Comply completely with Path #1 requirements. <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this p~'an review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code er of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Reviews or inspections <br />presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the <br />dwelling code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction shall not be valid. <br /> <br />"APPROVE~" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
