Yards are <br />as follows; North, 146 to Hwy 22. West, 50' to existing shop. South, <br />60'+. East, 60'+. <br /> <br />This is a Plan Review covering the construction of the above addition to <br />the existing building. This review is for compliance with the provisions <br />of the Oregon state Structural Specialty code (UBC) 1990 Edition. This <br />review is not intended to prohibit the building inspector from requesting <br />an evaluation of the acceptability of existing structural members that may <br />appear to be unsafe. Existing construction not specifically detailed in <br />the plans and structural calculations is beyond the scope of this review. <br /> <br />Plans should indicate the floor or landing on each side of doors is not <br />more than i inch lower than the threshold of the doorway. Sec. 3304(f) <br /> <br />Hardware for all exit doors required for egress is required to be of a <br />simple type having no provision for locking against egress, and having an <br />obvious method of operation. Flush bolts other than listed automatic are <br />not acceptable. Sec. 3304(c), see Exception. <br /> <br />Portable fire extinguisher shall be provided and installed as required by <br />applicable standards and as directed by the authority having jurisdiction. <br />(U.F.C. 10.303; U.F.C. Std. No. 10-1) <br /> <br /> Fireblocking shall be installed in the following locations. <br />a) In concealed spaces of stud walls and partitions, including furred <br /> spaces, so placed that the maximum dimension of any concealed space <br /> is not over 10-feet, and at the ceiling and floor levels. <br />b) At all interconnections between concealed vertical and horizontal <br /> spaces such as occur at soffits, drop ceilings and cove ceilings. <br />c) In openings around vents, pipes, ducts, chimneys, fireplaces and <br /> similar openings which afford a passage for fire at ceiling and <br /> floor levels, with noncombustible material.
