We had many Dhene conversations with the BCA
Mobile Home Parks Section on Betty questions and on the
questions that follow. I have not received any answers
from BCA in writing which I have requested. Would you
please give the state interpretation, by letter on all
the following and enclosed questions.

Do local jurisdictions have authority to adopt and
enforce greater set backs. Example, an aooessory
building shall not be located closer than six feet
to any mobile home or other accessory building on
adjacent space. Can local jurisdiction change the
six feet to ten feet? A mobile home may not be
closer than five feet to a property line. Can
local jurisdiction change the five feet to a
greater set back.

Can the State Fire ~arshal adopt and enforce
regulation for street access and location of
hydrants.

What is the minimum set back from a accessory
building from the edge of a park street or from
the edge of a sidewalk along a park street.

If you have any questions, please contact me at 588-5147.

Sincerely,

Donald Woodley
Building official

Senator Building 220 High Street NE Salem, Oregon 97301-3670
