830 9th St, Aumsville <br />December 23, 1991 <br />Page i <br /> <br />Marion County <br /> <br /> OREGON <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />DI~PA RTM£NT <br /> <br /> suilding Inspection - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the state of Oregon <br />1990 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />Drains shall be provided around all concrete or masonry foundations. <br />Perforated pipe or other approved systems or materials shall be <br />installed at or below the area to be protected and shall discharge by <br />gravity or mechanical means into an approved drainage system. (R-305.1} <br /> <br />smoke detectors shall be installed outside of each separate sleeping <br />area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms and on each additional <br />story of the dwelling including basements. In dwelling units with split <br />levels, a smoke detector need be installed only on the upper level, <br />provided the lower level is less than one full story below the upper <br />level, except that if there is a door between levels then a detector is <br />required on each level. Ail detectors shall be connected to a sounding <br />device or other detectors to provide, when actuated, an alarm which will <br />be audible in all sleeping areas. (R-21S.1) <br /> <br />Yhe garage shall be completely separated from the residence and its <br />attic area by means of 1/2-inch gypsum board Or equivalent applied to <br />the garage side. The door between the garage and residence shall be <br />equipped with solid wood doors not less than 1 3/8 inches in thickness <br />or equivalent. (R-209.2) <br /> <br />Roof trusses are required to be designed by an Oregon registered <br />Engineer or Architect. For trusses manufactured by an approved <br />fabrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the <br />construction site for the framing inspection. Ail job site cutting Or <br />modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the <br />engineer's design calculations and drawings. If trusses are to be built <br />at the job site, submit the engineer's design and construction plans to <br />the Marion County Building Department prior to start of construction and <br />have the approved drawings available at the site for the framing <br />inspection. <br /> <br />Provide an access crawl hole to the underfloor space. The minimum size <br />opening required is 18 inches by 24 inches. (R-309.2) <br /> <br />Appliances generating a glow, spark or flame and all electrical outlets <br />installed in a garage shall be elevated 18 inches above the floor. <br />Appliances installed in a garage shall be protested against damage by <br />vehicles. (M-1114 & NEC Article SOO) <br /> <br />Provide attic ventilation. The net free ventilating area shall be not <br />less than i to 150 of the area of the space ventilated.
