<br />2) This plan review covers a 1,003 sq. ft. addition to a ;4,203 sq. ft. existing building.
<br />
<br />3) A firefighting water supply is required Within 500'ft. of the building that is capable of
<br />producing 500 gallons per minute for each 5,000 sq. ft, of floor area within the building up
<br />to a maximum of 500 GPM for 30 minutes or provide a 5,000 to 15,000 gallon reserve water
<br />%~upply as required by ORS 479.200.
<br />
<br />4) All insulation materials including facings, such as vapor barriers or breather papers,
<br />installed within floor-ceiling assemblies, roof-ceiling assemblies, walls, crawl spaces, or
<br />attics shall have a fiasco-spread rating not to exceed 25 and a smoke density not to exceed
<br />450 when tested in accordance with UBC Standard No. 42-1.
<br />Except when such materials are ~nsta!led in concealed spaces oF Types III, IV, and V
<br />Construction, the flame-spread and smoke-developed limitations do not apply to facings, pro-

<br />5) Exit signs shall be provided at every required exit doorway and wherever otherwise
<br />required to clearly indicate the direction of egressi An exit sign with letters having a
<br />principal stroke not less than three quarters of an inch i~ width and at least six inches
<br />high ehall be provided. Tile building official may authorize the omission of exit signs at
<br />main exterior doors which are obviously and oiearly identifiable as exits: Ref. Code, Sec.
<br />3314.
<br />
<br />6) Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special
<br />knowledge or effort. Manually operated edge or surfac~ bolts are prohibited: Ref. Code,
<br />Sec. 3304(c).
<br />
<br />7) Change in floor level at door: there shall be a floor or landing on each side of a door:
<br />llef. Code, Sec. 3304(h).
<br />
<br />8) Curtains, drapes and similar furnishings are to be noncombustible or rendered and main-
<br />tained flameproof: Ref. Code, Sec. 4a05.
<br />
<br />9) The roof covering material is required to be fire retardant: Ref. Code, Sec. 3202B.
<br />
<br />10) The plans for the above-indicated addition are acceptable as submitted subject to the
<br />items noted above and the approval of the authority having jurisdiction.
