The conditions observed <br /> during the site evaluation indicate that the area where the test pits were located did not meet the minimum <br /> standards established by the Department of Environmental Quality. The area evaluated is denied for onsite <br /> wastewater treatment. <br /> Most sites have some limitations that will affect the location or type of wastewater system that may be <br /> installed; however,the test pits that were evaluated on August 22, 2024 are not capable of supporting a <br /> Standard or any type of Alternative septic system due to the following limitations: <br /> All viable area is graveled or is used as overflow parking <br /> Temporary water table is at 10" <br /> Limited Space due to Well Setbacks <br /> DEQ Rule requirement: <br /> A temporary water table must be 24 inches or more below the ground surface, and at least 12 inches <br /> below the absorption trench for a sand filter or alternative treatment technology system under OAR 340- <br /> 071-0220(1)(b) & OAR 340-071-0290(2)(a). The depth to permanent water table in the area evaluated is <br /> 9"below the surface. <br /> Under OAR 340-071-0130(12),the absorption area, including installed system and replacement area, <br /> must not be subject to activity that is likely, in the opinion of the agent,to adversely affect the soil or the <br /> functioning of the system. This may include but is not limited to vehicular traffic, covering the area with <br /> asphalt or concrete, filling, cutting, or other soil modification. <br /> Alternatives—Where to Go From Here <br /> As described above,the soil conditions at this site do not qualify for a subsurface treatment system. <br /> The following options are available: <br /> Holding Tank.
