The Existing System Evaluation Report document created by Oregon Sewer and Drain shows that the system consists of a 500-gallon tank and 100 linear ft of tile drainline. We recommend replacing the tank to conform with current code and/or pump the tank more regularly to limit solids from entering the drainfield. A site plan and existing system evaluation report was submitted on 08/15/2024 showing the system is located entirely within the proposed parcel meeting setbacks to the property lines. There appears to be room for a repair area when needed. THIS RECORD REVIEW IS BASED ON THE INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY THE APPLICANT. THE SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic,livestock and farming activities. Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway placement or any similar activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic system approval. The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair area must both be protected. THE SEPTIC TANK SHOULD BE PUMPED AND INSPECTED by a licensed septic tank pumping service approximately EVERY FIVE (5) YEARS. The septic tank is a reservoir for the solid materials in the sewage waste stream. Excessive accumulation of these solid materials in the septic tank can cause the solids to wash out of the tank and into the drainfield.
