August 28, 2024
Camp Benadoo
Current Use
1415 gallons per day with 31 spaces,2 Manufactured homes and 29 RV spaces for an average of
45.6 gpd.
The Bath House burned in the 2020 Beachie Creek/Lionshead Fire and hasn't been used since that
time and at this time will not be rebuilt.
System#1 in the SW corner of the RV park is currently serving 18 RV's and a 2 bedroom
manufactured home and based upon research done by consultant on previous authorization
notices and a permit approved by Marion County in the past that the current amount of spaces was
in the past approved by this office. However in the future, due to the fact the drainfield is
substantially undersized and is a standard system in an area that due to rapidly draining soils would
require pressurized distribution, any change in use or increase in flow of any kind will require that
the current system be brought up to current code. The system consists of a poured in place 4319
gallon tank with 165 linear ft of standard drainline.
System#2's original approval was for 2 manufactured homes with a flow approved for 2 bedrooms
or 250 gallons per manufactured home totaling 500 gallons per day, this change in use will allow for
removal of 1 manufactured home and the addition of 2 RV spaces for a total of 450 gpd. This
change is use has been approved, however any future increases in flow will require that the current
system be brought up to current code or connected to the new system that will be installed.
System#3 will be designed to process 12 RV"s minimum and will be built to current code and will
be a standard septic system as the soils withing the approved area are on a terrace above the RV
Park and are not rapidly draining within this area,a pump will need to installed at dosing tank to
reach this area and an operation and maintenance agreement will be required for the life of the
system. I believe that the drainfield should be overbuilt and should have additional drainfield and
tankage to accommodate existing systems when they stop working and any future increases in
flow.
STATE CERTIFIED
Waste Water Specialist
[°,:._a: EH-W10147892
01
Kimberlee A.Aldrich
